I’ve received a lot of questions about my Dark Intentions theme for MyBB. To answer everyone’s questions, yes, there will be a release for 1.4. I’ve been working on a few other projects, but we should see a new version within a week. I’ve got some special things planned for this release, so hold on tight.
If you have any suggestions for new themes that I’ll be working on after Dark Intentions, please email me or comment. Also, I’ve received a number of inquiries about custom themes. I do write custom themes at a reasonable price, please email me if you’d like a quote or sample of custom work I’ve done. Also look out for a new MyBB section coming to quacktacular.net soon with more information on free and custom themes.
Update: Sorry for the delay guys, I haven’t forgotten about you. I’m waiting for my aluminum iMac arrive so I can get this done (using my iMac G4 now, doesn’t really cut it for development).
You’ll notice the site looks a little funny right now. There are a few complications related to the WordPress 2.6 and K2 RC7 updates that I’ll work through in short order. Sorry for the trouble.
UPDATE: Downloads and everything less the photography section are working again. I’m planning something different there anyway.
I met a little snail in the garden the other day. He looked cool, but the first photos I took didn’t have enough colour. I tried moving him for different backgrounds, but no matter where I put him the focal point was something else. The pictures were boring.
Then I saw this flower, and to my surprise the combination of the two worked really well. The flower pulls the eye in and then pushes it over to the little snail. Separately I don’t think the snail or flower would have made for great photos on this background, but they do make a great team. Check out the rest of the photos on my Flickr.
I’m happy to tell you that N.Design 1.4 is now available for download. I’ll be updating the site later so N.Design has it owns page, but please feel free to download and comment in the meantime.

UPDATE: Updated to N.Design 1.4 (1.1.1). This release contains minor fixes for a few cosmetic issues. This release should fix the problems with 1.1.
In 2003 Apple introduced new wired and wireless keyboards that were ascetically pleasing and very functional. The white-acrylic models were a treat to type on, but did have their share of flaws. Given that, and the fact that after four years the design was aging, a change seemed to be in order. This call was answered with the aluminum keyboard we observe today, and I’d like to tell you about my experience with it.
The problem I had with the old Apple keyboard was just how easily it became dirty. All too often a hair would show up underneath the transparent acrylic, or a smudge on the white surface. I like working in a clean environment so I had to clean it often. Another problem I had with the acrylic keyboards was that they crapped out at a considerably high rate. Out of the three I owned, two stopped working for no apparent reason. Needless to say after these experiences, I became skeptical of these ‘pro’ keyboards.
