If you want to remove a friend from Facebook the process is a little different since the latest site update. Instead of just doing it from the Friends section, now you have to follow these steps:
- Click the Account tab on the right.
- Click Edit Friends (the first link under your name)
- Type the person’s name under the Facebook logo
- Click the X to the right of the their name
